You could have installed the two word programs for both 2007 and 2010. This is because there is a lot of work that you need completed in the shortest time possible and you still have the load of work coming in different forms in that some have to be done under the 2007 program while others under the 2010 program. Having the two programs can be a bit risky especially if they are operating at the same time, this may lead to one of them crushing thus destroying every document that was saved in it. If word 2007 crashes when closing 2010, you can try and follow some quick steps which may help you save the files which could get destroyed. You will first of all have to close the outlook and press the control, alt and Del button to open the windows task manager. If you find out that under running processes there is a word program that is still running, close the processes so that you can manage to save the documents that were currently open.
